Picture of Steve Cox
  • Steve is Chair of the Church and Media Network, which runs Christians in Media. Steve is an experienced strategic marketer and corporate communications specialist.

    A former Director of Communications at the Council for World Mission (CWM), Steve played a key role in managing a full-scale, strategic review of its life, work and mission. Earlier, as CEO, Steve headed up a children''s cancer charity, developing long-term strategies to provide respite holidays for children and parents.

    He also spearheaded a successful PR/lobbying campaign to change the UK Broadcasting Act on behalf of United Christian Broadcasters.

    Steve spends his time writing, speaking and mentoring.

  • Tobi Rachel has a career spanning over a decade in media and journalism. She’s Manager, Publishing at BuzzFeed UK.

    Prior to that, Tobi Rachel was the Social Editor at JOE Media (producing premium original & innovative content) and Tyla of LADBible (the largest social publisher for women in the UK). Her freelance work has appeared in: Metro, Independent, Evening Standard, LBC, Guardian and NME.

    Tobi Rachel co-founded and is editor-in-chief of social enterprise, Dream Nation. A safe place for thousands of practical dreamers around the world.

    She hosted the Yellow Cup Podcast (recognised in Spotify’s 2020 Podcast Hall of Fame). With a heavy background in showbiz and entertainment, alongside a passion for the intersection of faith and pop culture, Tobi Rachel is keen to impart her experience and improve the wellbeing of people of faith in the media industry.

  • Lani has been involved in events and communications for more than two decades, producing corporate events before moving into charity communications, PR, fundraising and partnerships.

    Lani was Head of Communication at Habitat for Humanity GB before becoming Head of Communication and later Deputy Executive Director at New Wine England.

    She is currently Director of Development and Operations for the Langham Arts Trust (All Souls Music), which combines her love of all things PR, strategy and partnerships, with her love of music (in which she has a degree).

    She is Mama to two young children and also volunteers as a PR consultant for local charity ABC to Read.

  • Broadcaster, TV Host, and Singer Songwriter, Sandra Godley has an extensive portfolio to her name. She has performed for royalty & many civic events, festivals, The House of Commons etc.

    Sandra has recorded 4 albums and received many music awards, including a MOBO nomination & Lifetime Achievement award from Ladies First Professional Network. She was also awarded the GX Award for ‘Best TV Show’ for her TBN ‘Fit for Purpose’ series. And has been nominated as a 2023 Women of the Year.

    One of her proudest shared moments as a Trustee of Radio Plus, was to receive a prestigious Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service.

    In 2018, she formed The Gosp-ability choir who performed her song ‘The Big Love Song’ on BBC’s The One Show as a wedding gift for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. BBC World Wide followed the journey of her choir by creating a documentary, which went viral across the globe. She received thanks from Prince Harry.

    She has also been host to TBN’s 5 part tv series ‘Fit for Purpose’ and a 4 part series of ‘Start Your Day.’ And launched her first International Woman in Music awards.

    She currently hosts BBC CWR’s Breakfast with Sandra Godley & Upbeat. As a philanthropist, advocate and humanitarian, her work has extended to areas such as Kenya and Rwanda.

    Sandra brings a wealth of experience in media, music and worship/creative arts.

  • Paul is a writer, comedian and broadcaster, working in TV, radio, print and the stage.

    Paul's writing has helped win a British Comedy Award for BBC’s Miranda, as well as a Royal Television Society Award and Rose d’Or award for Lee Mack’s Not Going Out, for which he’s co-written over 60 episodes.

    He's worked closely with Chris Evans and Matt LeBlanc on the revamped Top Gear for BBC2, worked with Michael Buble on Buble at the BBC, and wrote for Channel 4’s TFI Friday revival and ITV’s Royal Variety Performance.

    On the radio Paul is a regular contributor to BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show’s ‘Pause For Thought’ and has presented BBC Sussex/BBC Surrey’s Sunday Breakfast.

    He has appeared multiple times on Radio 4’s Sunday with film reviews and comic takes on religious news.

    Elsewhere on Radio 4, Paul has presented Sunday Worship, delivered the Christmas Meditation and guested several times on Beyond Belief.

  • Rebecca is a journalist and communications consultant, who is also a member of the General Synod of the Church of England and a trustee of Southwark Diocese & Christians in Media. She’s the executive producer of Faith in Media, Christian in Media’s podcast.

    She writes a monthly column for the Church of England Newspaper and writes regularly in The Church Times.

    Having initially read theology, Rebecca has held roles ranging from management and administration to fundraising and communications, working for two Archbishops of Canterbury, the Patriarch of Jerusalem, the Evangelical Alliance and Christians in Politics as well as working as part of the Government Communications Service at the Department for Transport.

    Rebecca is passionate about good governance, and raising awareness of neurodiversity in all areas of life.

  • Josie was chosen as one of The Telegraph NatWest Top 100 Female Entrepreneurs to Watch 2022.

    She is the Founder & Director of the Christian Creative Directory and Christian Creative Network.

    Josie has over 25 years experience in the design industry and has run Gamble Designs since 2007.

    She’s a regular guest speaker who loves to share about creativity, is a business mentor and has a passion to help other owners be imaginative with their communications, through her expertise with marketing, branding, social media and web design.

    She was also a design lecturer for 7 years at the University of Wolverhampton.

    She’s married to Ben, is a mum of three and loves anything Christmas.

  • Jocelyn-Anne is the author of Not Knowing, but Still Going, writer, mentor and speaker. She has a Masters in Creative Writing from the University of Chichester. And having taken the leap from her senior leadership role in the UK Government, she can identify with those walking through uncertain times and is passionate about developing people. 


    She brings a breadth of experience from her Civil Service experience having designed and delivered flagship Policy Profession internal learning, established and led the first in-house Civil Service Learning Events Management Team, forged links with academics to sharpen policy making, supported Ministers in Private Office and worked on the operational frontline. 



    When she’s not writing,you’ll find Jocelyn-Anne drinking coffee with friends, exploring coastal paths or trying out recipes.

  • Finance Administrator

    Kamau has joined us following a five-year spell working at the Church of England in the Pensions Board Housing Department.

    Kamau left Brunel University with a bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting in 2017. After a year in commercial finance working for a national freight company as a Finance Assistant, he joined the Church of England, initially on a three month contract, managing the income collection from the retired clergy members resident to the seven Supported Housing schemes provided by the Church across the country. This developed into a five year stay, where he was able to build great relationships within the National Church Institutions and support former clergy who had given their life to the church and struggled during the lockdown period, whilst building confidence in his ability of account management and annual budgeting.

    Kamau is 2 exams away from completing his chartered accounting exams (ACCA), which he intends to utilise to climb the corporate ladder, and also use the transferrable skills to aid peers with personal finance advice.

    Warm and approachable, Kamau is an avid football fan, and outside of spending time with his family and friends, he is likely following his hometown club Ipswich Town or reading up on anything else Premier League related.

    Pat Obilor, is a Kingdom lifestyle influencer and published author who shares her talents and skills across various creative and human relations sectors of Arts & Theatre, Digital Media, Youth/Women empowerment, and Hospitality Concierge.

    All of which are driven by her personal passion for the gospel and bringing unity through the love of Christ. Music, connection, and conversation are Carla’s vehicles for the mandate. With a love for Jesus and people, Carla is delighted to join the community of Christians in Media, representing Christian voice within the UK.

  • Max is a Producer at Premier Christian Radio and has a MA in Broadcast Journalism from City University. He has wide-ranging experience from writing articles to creating, producing and performing media content, hosting his own radio shows and speaking to large audiences.

    He’s the producer for Faith in Media, Christian in Media’s podcast and alumnus of their Mentoring Programme. When he’s not presenting/producing, he can be found playing football or spending money he doesn't have going to gigs.

  • Charlotte’s an Actor, Singer and Screenwriter. She’s currently touring across the UK in children’s theatre productions. Her performances include: Eliza Doolittle in MTI Europe’s recording of ‘My Fair Lady’, Proms at the Minack, Vocalist/Performer, in Aviemore, Wendla in British Theatre’s Academy of ‘Spring Awakening’ and many more. Charlotte has a BA(Hons) Musical Theatre Performance from the University of Chichester and is an alumna of the Christians in Media Mentoring Programme.
