National Day of Prayer for the Media
Sunday 29 October 2023
Never before has it been so important to stand up for truth, integrity and justice in a world crying out for God’s love, grace and compassion.
Sunday 29th October 2023
What is your National Day of Prayer for the Media?
As Christians, we are called to pray for our world and our society.
Every corner of the Media has a valuable and influential role to play; a thriving and trusted global and national media matters to all of us.
The Media is held to account for speaking truth without bias and helping others to engage with the world - its celebrations, problems and joys.
Our National Day of Prayer for the Media shows our commitment to stand alongside all those who work in this arena through active and heartfelt prayer. Together, let’s show our support to all those called to occupy these spaces.
Why pray?
Prayer is central to our faith and to Christians in Media.
On our National Day of Prayer for the Media, we ask Christians, churches and prayer groups to set aside time to pray.
Corporate prayer is powerful as we raise up our voices across the UK and beyond. We’re praying for:
The people behind the profession. For the challenges they face in their personal and work lives
Church media teams & for positive relationships with their local media
Local, regional, national and social media - secular and Christian
Media to give a voice to the voiceless and to be held to account
Christians in media to hold firm to Biblical beliefs and convictions, courageously presenting the truth with integrity and without bias or agenda.
Want to get involved?
There are many ways together we can #pray4media. Commit to praying yourself. Tell you church leaders about our National Day of Prayer for the Media. If you’re on the church leadership team, set aside some time to pray on that Sunday service. Watch one of our prayer videos on our YouTube channel with your prayer group.
